James H. Herndon, M.D.

Dr. James H. Herndon was born and raised in Dallas, attended Harvard College for undergraduate training, then earned his Medical Degree from UT Southwestern. After training in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas followed by training in Dermatology at Yale University, he served as a research associate at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Herndon joined the faculty at UT Southwestern as the first full-time chairman of the Division of Dermatology, where he combined teaching students and residents with conducting biomedical research in skin diseases.

In 1979 Dr. Herndon entered private practice as the founder of the Dermatology Center of Dallas.  Along with his private practice, he remains active in clinical research, acting as a consultant and principle investigator for companies seeking to develop new drugs and cosmetics. Dr. Herndon has been voted one of D-Magazine's best doctors in Dallas from 2001-2009. He also continues as a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UT Southwestern where he teaches and attends conferences regularly.  Dr. Herndon's special clinical interests include cosmetic procedures for improvement of wrinkles, skin pigmentation, and other signs of aging, treatment of adult and teenage acne, and treatment of disorders of hair and nails.

Peter D. Hino, M.D.

Dr. Peter D. Hino earned his Medical Degree from the University of New Mexico and trained in Dermatology at the University of Oklahoma, where he served as chief resident in his final year of training.

Dr. Hino joined the Dermatology Center of Dallas in 1989. He is currently Chief of Dermatology for Texas Health Resources - Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Hino teaches Internal Medicine residents at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, and students and residents from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at UTSW.  Dr. Hino is also a consultant and clinical investigator for several pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, where he focuses on innovative therapies for acnem, skin care products, sun protection and antiviral compounds. Dr. Hino has been voted one of D-Magazine's best doctors in Dallas from 2001-2009. He is a frequent speaker for community organizations, health interest groups, and for broadcast media. Dr. Hino's special clinical interests include teenage acne, cutaneous malignancies, and antiaging treatment - both products and procedures. Dr. Hino is trained in Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport™, Restalyne®, and Juvederm™.

Jeri Beth "J.B." Foshee, M.D.

Dr. J.B. Foshee graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Health Sciences before pursuing her Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. She completed her Internship in Internal Medicine and her Residency and Fellowship in Dermatology all at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Foshee served as Chief Resident during her tenure. Dr. Foshee joined the Dermatology Center of Dallas in 2009 where she practices medical and cosmetic dermatology. Her special clinical interests include acne, psoriasis, eczema, infectious disease, and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Foshee is also trained in cosmetic dermatology including Botox® Cosmetic, Juvederm™, Restalyne®, and Dysport™.

Candace C. Fortson, M.A., C.A., RMT

Candace Fortson is a medical esthetic specialist licensed in the State of Texas. She has been a Dermatological Medical Assistant since 1989 and is an advanced laser technician certified in a full range of regenerative procedures and skin care treatments. Candace joined the Dermatology Center of Dallas in 1991 and currently operates one of the largest clinical aesthetic practices in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Her areas of expertise are pigmentation and acne problems, sun damaged skin, skin rejuvenation therapy and procedures to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Candace is highly skilled at working hand-in-hand with the Dermatologists to meet our patient’s needs. Together, the clinical staff will assess specific skin care problems and combine medicine and esthetics to meet the special needs of our patients and clients. We are continually expanding and exploring every new industry breakthrough to enable us to offer the latest in technology and skin care to our patients.
